Children’s Safety

We’re very proud to be a family friendly festival. However there are a few things to note before your family arrive.

We don’t allow anyone under 16 to be at the festival over the weekend without an adult of 18 or over.

Children under 10 years old need to be accompanied on site at all times.

If you are happy for your child aged 10 – 12 years to walk through the arena entrance without you, then you can get an Authorised Unaccompanied Wristband from any wristband exchange.

Any children 13 years or under without one of these wristbands, or any children under 10 found on their own, will be looked after by the welfare team and we will try and get in touch.

All under 16s need to be accompanied by an over 18 through the entry and exit gates to the festival site.

TIP: Take a photo of your children on your mobile phone in the morning so that you have the most recent photo on you

Family Campsite

The Family Campsite is our dedicated area for families with children 16 or under at the festival to camp out. The site features dedicated toilets, showers, washing up facilities and food traders.

The campsite is situated right next to the Enchanted Garden area with its busy programme of activities for families to enjoy together. The campsite also has its own arena entrance, meaning you can get into the festival in a hop, skip and a jump.

To stay in the Family Campsite, you will need to purchase the Family Camping version of your tickets. Please be sure to choose the correct option when purchasing.

Those with the Family Camping version will have access to our Family Car Park, located close to the Family Campsite to minimise your journey from car to tent.

No single or groups of adults will be permitted in the Family Campsite unless accompanied by children 16 or under. Due to limited space, the Family Campsite area is restricted to relatives and guardians of children.

Groups of friends and other family members who arrive without children should camp in the regular campsites. Those teenagers wanting to camp in the family campsite must camp with their family.

Lighten the load by hiring a cart to wheel your gear to your camping spot!

Price: £10.00 for 1 hour 30 minutes (minimum hire) then ADD £5.00 per 30 minutes thereafter. Cart-to-Camp is located near Tuttleswood Gate Entrance and Memorial (Family) gate entrance.

REMEMBER to bring a CASH ONLY deposit of £50.00 (fully refunded) PLUS £10 hire charge – no cards or other forms of ID are accepted – once the trolley is returned your deposit is returned less the hire charge.

Happy hauling!

Latitude Festival will contain acts unsuitable for children. The acts we that are noted in the website as ‘kids’ friendly’ are purely recommendations and the final judgement and responsibility for what the child sees remains with the parent.

Films shown in the Film & Music Arena may be classified as 15 or 18 certificate. However, there may be some films shown suitable for children at certain periods of the day. This will be noted on signage outside the tent.

The Cabaret Arena will contain nudity. The Comedy Arena will contain swearing. Other stages may feature material not suitable for children that we are unable to predict and classify due to the nature of live performance.
