Our Great Escape Picks

We had an amazing time at The Great Escape, the UK’s festival for new music, last week.

Here are some of our favourite acts we saw who we think you need to add to your rotation. Plus, all of them are playing at cinch presents Latitude in July!

piri & tommy

Manchester dance pop duo piri & tommy are making waves in the underground scene. Their track ‘Soft Spot’ went viral on TikTok last year, and they count Charli XCX and PinkPantheress amongst their growing fanbase. If you’ve got a craving for nostalgic 90’s rave-y sounds, they’ll be right up your street.

Alfie Templeman

Singer-songwriter Alfie Templeman wowed us with his TGE performance at Brighton’s iconic Komedia. We couldn’t be more excited to have him at our very own Obelisk arena this summer. His debut album ‘Mellow Moon’ is out on 27th May, so we’re expecting to hear some brand new tunes at Latitude.

Katy J Pearson

It feels like Katy J Pearson is everywhere. Whether she’s singing on Orlando Weeks‘ album, collaborating with Broadside Hacks, or performing sold-out shows across the country, chances are you’ve come across her by now. If not, catch her on the BBC Sounds Stage.

Let’s Eat Grandma

Sunrise Arena headliners Let’s Eat Grandma played two stunning sets across TGE weekend. Fresh from the release of their third album ‘Two Ribbons’ which came out last month, new tracks like ‘Levitation’ went down a storm with the crowd.

Naima Bock

After co-founding punk band Goat Girl at the age of just 15, singer Naima Bock has since left the band to pursue a solo career. She’s now signed to Sub Pop records (home of Beach House and Iron & Wine) and making a unique blend of jazzy indie-folk. We can’t get enough of ‘Giant Palm’.

Watch all these artists and more, including headliners Lewis Capaldi, Foals and Snow Patrol, at cinch presents Latitude 2022. It takes place in Henham Park, Suffolk on 21st-24th July.
