The Enchanted Garden is our whole other Kids area, located in the Family Campsite, a few minutes’ walk from the main Kids Area. It’s a little more relaxed, with space to spread out, run about and play with a packed programme from 9am till 4pm. It’s open to anyone with children under 16 including Day Ticket Holders; if you’re not camping in the Family Campsite just collect a free wristband from the Arena Entrance (Family or Main) or the Kids Area Info Caravan.
And remember… EVERYTHING IS FREE from workshops and materials to face-painting and archery so you can try it all!
Colour Town Project
Colour Town brings colour and joy with their fun and relaxed space to play and create. Meet artist Vix – she designed and built Colour Town and runs daily painting and crafts workshops. Expect laughter, messy play for all ages and of course…COLOUR!
Community Clay Time with Jim Parkyn
Jim Parkyn is a model maker, character designer, sculptor, filmmaker, stop motion animator and expert in bringing model-making to all. Best known for his work with Aardman Animation, Jim will be leading different model-making workshops, three times daily so there are lots of opportunities to join this creative workshop!
Mini Zoo and Wildlife Display
Come and see some fascinating creatures, from lizards and snakes to meerkats and giant snails! Bryan Patterson is one of the most respected wildlife display experts in the country with 50+yrs experience. Bryan believes letting children learn about – and even handle- some of the more unusual animals at close quarters may encourage them to become the conservationists of the future. Open until 4pm (late afternoon is the quietest time).
Get Medieval
The Get Medieval team are back, bringing history to life with fascinating historical objects, archery, manuscript writing and ever popular ‘Knight School’ – learn how to fight like a knight before putting your skills to the test in 1v1 duels and team fights.
Nidhoggr Isle of Flegg
Returning with their Longbow Archery, join Nidhoggr Isle of Flegg! Specializing in 6th-12th Century, this year their focus is Vikings!
Moving Canvas Face Painting
Moving Canvas Face and Body Art return with their team of amazing Face painters from all over the UK; come along for festival designs, fantasy faces, superheroes, animals and more!
The Craft Tents
Weaving Wonders are back! Kendra and her team use soft natural materials to teach the ancient art of basket weaving to make a little basket, a pot or whatever you fancy. They have great ideas to share so pull up a haybale and get creating!
Nanny Bears Crochet lead beginners through their first few stitches. Learn the basics, choose your colours and take away a little keepsake from your first crochet class. And if you already have basic crochet skills, Amanda will guide you to a new challenge!
Come and make some wonderful local insects with the Fairyland Trust in their Bug Bizarre. You can make Magical Moths, Caterpillar finger puppets and Bug Bling to wear. They’ll also teach you about these wonderful creatures and how to help them at home. Drop in when a space becomes available.
Celebrate 20 years of creativity with Usborne’s Sticker Dolly Dressing! Join us in the Enchanted Garden for crown crafting with beautiful stickers and try a spot of Sticker Dolly Dressing-up. Meet our Sticker Dolly Dressing fairies and wizards at points throughout the day for a Sticker Dolly Dressing Magical Storytelling Adventure.
Rocketude!
Budding scientists and engineers, join Derek Langley and the Rocketude team to make a paper and tape air-powered rocket. Design, colour and 3-2-1 launch it! You’ll be amazed how high they go, but hey, it’s not rocket science…Hang on – it IS rocket science!

Norwich University of the Arts are back with a range of creative activities: Support for people of all ages and abilities, and all materials supplied.
Hebocon – Truely Terrible Robot Wrestling!
Robot sumo for the non-technically gifted – a competition where basic robots that can barely move gather to engage in odd awkward battles! There will be guided robot build sessions Friday and Saturday, with the robot battle on Sunday lunchtime. Please note, robots are not available to take away and keep… everything will be fully recycled to rebuild and play again. By the end of the battle, they should be wrecked anyway!
Life Drawing: Drop-in life drawing sessions hosted by the acclaimed painter, Will Teather and Norwich University of the Arts. Try your hand at observational drawing from a live model. Tuition and support for people of all ages and abilities.
Storyboarding; You’ll learn the creative process of storyboarding: the visual planning process used in film, animation, games, tv and other visual media. It’s a brilliant way to start imagining your worlds and characters, by sketching out scenes, planning shots, and setting the stage for your story.
Create a Boardgame; In this fun and creative activity, you will get the chance to design your very own board game! We will work with you through the process of imagining a game from scratch—choosing a theme, creating rules and starting your designs for the board and pieces.
Access Creative College Norwich lead you through the world of Role-Playing Games with Dungeons & Dragons; learn the basic D&D rules, themes & styles, explore narrative ideas and then play in groups with a Dungeon Master. Explore traits and features when you Design A Character for a game or other media or explore the art and style of Graffiti Art and try out techniques on a large Latitude artwork.
The Music Dome
Join DJ Chrome and DJ Venom for a hands-on dive into DJing and music production.We’ll be sharing practical tips on mixing, beat-making, and getting creative with sound – whether you’re just starting out or already experimenting. Come along, learn something new, and make some noise with us!
Or perhaps join our new Ukulele Workshop with Penny from Ukeboxbaby…whether you’ve never picked up an instrument or you’ve already had a go at home or school, groups of up to 20 children will come together to form a ukulele band, and learn songs on the ukulele in a fun and engaging way. Ukeboxbaby are on a mission to spread the joy of music to growing minds.

She also hosts rock n roll baby yoga which includes joint relaxation, and active yoga moves for little ones from 3 months until rolling/ mobile, with lots of singing to keep it fun.
Meet Slings-by-the-Sea for workshops & advice on carrying your baby on your body. Let them check and adjust your sling to ensure you & baby are both comfortable enough for long days and late nights!
