Greenpeace are back at Henham Park for Latitude’s 20th Anniversary! To celebrate, we’ll be looking at the work Greenpeace has done to protect our planet over the past 20 years, with special focus on what we’ve achieved to protect the oceans and to celebrate the Ocean Treaty win!
The Global Ocean Treaty entered into force on January 17, 2026, marking a historic victory for Greenpeace and environmental advocates after over 15 years of campaigning. This treaty enables the protection of 30% of the world’s oceans by 2030, establishing sanctuaries to shield marine life from threats like industrial fishing and deep-sea mining.
The Greenpeace Events team are excited to be back meeting with like-minded people, having a great time, and helping to celebrate our victories over the decades while also raising awareness on our current Campaigns to protect the planet.
Camp Greenpeace is a big and beautiful forest hideaway by the lake, offering nature-focused action and adventure! Greenpeace opens its Camp to let you into a world of action and adventure amongst the trees and within the Kids Area. We want to encourage kids to have fun, play and get back to nature through a variety of activities.
The Nets in the Woods
There’s plenty of other things that will grab your attention as you try out the rope swings or scramble and roll around the nets nestled amongst the trees. The nets are very popular, and you can make some great friends there – so come and play around like a scurry of squirrels.
Rooted in Nature – Bushcraft
Join a nature trail and become rooted in nature with our Bushcraft sessions. We’re excited to offer a mix of activities, so join in on some gratitude sessions by helping create a giant dream catcher or thread a weaving loom rug! Ignite your ancestral roots lighting a fire by friction! We are also cooking bread over the fire – come for a chat or just ‘be’ around the fire with people who love the outdoors and nature.
Big Tree Climbing Company
Our friends from the Great Big Tree Climbing Company will be on hand to rig you up, to climb a very special tree of ours. You will learn and see how to harness onto a tree and climb it like a spider monkey or a sloth… go at your own pace. Then make your way back to earth at speed by whizzing down our zipline, so hold onto your hat!
Greenpeace Rainbow Warrior, in the Kids Area
A few minutes away from Camp Greenpeace you can jump on board the Greenpeace Rainbow Warrior! Come and learn, build and play. A team of Greenpeace volunteers will help you build our dedication to the famous Greenpeace Rainbow Warrior Ship. With our tool shed full of hammers, saws, nails, wood, and bunting. We encourage kids to learn how to use tools, so would like guardians present at all times, please. Open 10am-6pm in the Kids Area.
Plus much more to celebrate the 20th anniversary…Watch this space!
