Elinor is a feminist cultural historian specialising in women’s health and its histories. She is the author of Unwell Women: A Journey Through Medicine and Myth in a Man-Made World, which published in 2021 in the UK and US, and has since been translated into more than ten languages. Her second book, A Woman’s Work: Reclaiming the Radical History of Mothering, is forthcoming in March 2026.
