Anders Lustgarten is a political activist, playwright and novelist. He has been an international athlete and Scottish 400m champion; a teacher on Death Row in San Quentin, California’s most notorious prison, as well as in London’s biggest jails; a political activist working on fossil fuels and climate chaos who has been arrested on four continents; a techno DJ, a tree surgeon and a carpenter. He is now a screenwriter, an incipient novelist and the most radical and courageous political playwright in Britain. He won the inaugural Harold Pinter Playwriting Award for If You Don’t Let Us Dream, We Won’t Let You Sleep at the Royal Court. His play Lampedusa has been performed in forty countries. He is currently working on various projects for stage, film & TV. Three Burials is his debut novel.
