Duran Duran: Five hits to get you in the festival spirit

Since we announced Duran Duran as our first music headliner last week, we haven’t been able to contain our excitement! What better way is there to get ready for Barclaycard presents Latitude 2024 than by looking back on the legendary band’s greatest hits both old and new?

The Reflex

Kicking off our list, we have The Reflex, the band’s first U.S. No. 1 single. Famed for its enigmatic lyrics and innovative use of sampling, it captures Duran Duran’s unique sound perfectly.

Girls on Film

Duran Duran’s third single was their first mega hit, which rapidly cemented itself as a sing-along classic with its punchy staccato chorus.

Hungry Like the Wolf

Duran Duran put a darker spin on a classic fairytale character in this classic hit. The iconic riff anchors the rippling synths, coming together to create one of the group’s most recognisable earworms.

Rio

The breezy leading track from the 1982 album of the same name is one of the most iconic hits from the ‘80s. Next summer, we’ll all be dancing on the sand – or, rather, the grass – at Henham Park.

Black Moonlight

The Brummie legends are back with a bang! Their new album Danse Macabre features a whole host of new tracks and covers, but we’ve picked out the lead single as the perfect means of amping up for festival season.

The countdown to Latitude 2024 continues, and July can’t come soon enough! To catch Duran Duran alongside a plethora of huge names across music, comedy and the arts, buy your tickets now.
