Tor Falcon is a landscape artist and award wining writer. She spends years immersed in her subject matter, drawing and writing about it before bringing it all together in an exhibition and a book. Her subject matter tends to be local; for instance The Peddars Way, a footpath from nowhere in particular on the Norfolk/Suffolk boarder, to nowhere in particular on the edge of The Wash. She spent four years travelling the length of every river on a Wikipedia list of the Rivers of Norfolk, mainly on foot but occasionally by boat. Most recently she observed and drew the moon from her garden in mid Norfolk, getting to grips with its confusing motion, not only around her horizons but also around the Earth, and that was before she worked out how to draw in the dark. She won the East Anglian Book Award for non-fiction for Sugar Beet Moon.
