Reece Shearsmith first came to prominence in 1999 with his multi-award winning radio and TV series, The League of Gentlemen, working with with Mark Gatiss, Jeremy Dyson and Steve Pemberton,.
As writing partners, in 2009,Reece and Steve went on to create and star in two series of the comedy horror series, Psychoville followed by an impressive nine series of the BAFTA award winning Inside No. 9 (2014 – 2024). Following the huge success of Inside No. 9, in 2025 Reece and Steve toured the UK with a critically acclaimed and sold out live show version, Stage Fright. The show also had a sold out run on the West End.
Aside from his writing work, Reece has numerous credits across stage, screen and TV including A Field in England, See How They Run, Taskmaster, Saltburn and The Adventures of Paddington.
Reece is a regular contributor to the Cosmic Shambles Network’s podcast, An Uncanny Hour.
