Monica Feria-Tinta is a British-Peruvian barrister specialising in public international law. She has been described as one of ‘the most daring, innovative and creative lawyers’ in the United Kingdom for her work addressing climate change and environmental degradation – and now the inspiration behind an upcoming legal drama series, after her book A Barrister for the Earth was optioned by Eleventh Hour Films. She is considered one of the preeminent experts in climate litigation worldwide.

Monica is The Times’ first Lawyer of the Week in 2025, a Barrister of the Year finalist at the Lawyer Awards 2025 and winner of Environment Barrister of the Year at the Chambers UK Bar Awards 2023.
