Matthew Bourne is the UK’s most popular choreographer and director, a record-breaking nine-time Olivier Award winner and the only British director to win Tony Awards for both Best Choreographer and Best Director of a Musical.
Matthew started his dance training at the age of 22. As Artistic Director of Adventures in Motion Pictures, he created signature works including Spitfire, Nutcracker!, Highland Fling, Swan Lake, Cinderella, and The Car Man. Further hit productions created since launching New Adventures in 2002 include Play Without Words, Edward Scissorhands, Dorian Gray, Sleeping Beauty, The Red Shoes, Romeo and Juliet, and The Midnight Bell.
