DanceEast takes over the iconic Waterfront Stage and invites you to move and be moved with a bold, eclectic line-up that celebrates the sheer thrill and diversity of what dance is today. From the iconic return of Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake to the infectious energy of Uchenna’s Our Mighty Groove, expect world-class performances interwoven with an electric festival vibes.
Roller skates, live electronic music, breathtaking dancers and movement that travels through waacking, house, vogue, contemporary, classical, Caribbean and African influences can all be expected, along with unforgettable performances from Alleyne Dance, Le Patin Libre, Ekleido and PCK Dance.
Based at the Jerwood DanceHouse in Ipswich, DanceEast is one of the UK’s leading charity dance organisations and one of only five DanceHouses here in the UK. For over 40 years DanceEast has consistently brought world-class performances, participation and community projects to East Anglia and beyond where our impact is felt locally, regionally and nationally.
