Chris is a geoscientist, science communicator and visiting Professor in the Department of Earth Science & Engineering at Imperial College. He is a former Royal Institution Christmas Lecturer (2020) and presented the BBC series Expedition Volcano as well as a series of earth science documentaries for Nova. He is a regular contributor to The Cosmic Shambles Network, having appeared on multiple podcasts and documentaries as well as speaking at venues across the UK, including the Royal Albert Hall.
