COVID-19 Entry Requirements

In order to gain access to Latitude Festival, all ticket holders aged 11 and over (children under 11 are exempt) will need to demonstrate their COVID-19 Status by providing either:

·       Proof of full vaccination – both doses received (with the second at least 14 days prior to the festival) or

·       Proof of a negative NHS Lateral Flow Test taken prior to travel on the day of arrival at the festival or

·       Proof of natural immunity based upon a positive PCR test within 180 days of the festival (including 10 days self-isolation following the result).

Ticket holders from England

If you are resident in England, you can show your status easily via the NHS COVID Pass on the NHS App. For more information on how to do this, please click here.

We recommend that you screenshot or download a copy of your NHS COVID Pass prior to arrival so that you have it ready to show at the entry gates. Alternatively, you can print a copy and bring this with you.

If you don’t have access to a smartphone or computer, then you can call 119 to request a letter to demonstrate your vaccination status or online here. Please note that the letter can take up to 5 working days to reach you. This letter will be sent to the address registered with your GP.

If you cannot access your NHS COVID Pass or if you do not receive a vaccination status letter in time you will need to provide evidence of a negative NHS Lateral Flow Test, by reporting the result here and presenting your NHS email or text notification at the entry gates.

Ticket holders from Scotland

If you live in Scotland, you can obtain your full vaccination status here.

If you do not receive the letter in time, you will need to provide evidence of a negative NHS Lateral Flow Test, by reporting the result here and presenting your NHS email or text notification at the entry gates.

Ticket holders from Wales

If you live in Wales, you can obtain your full vaccination status by following the instructions here.

If you cannot access your NHS COVID Pass you will need to provide evidence of a negative NHS Lateral Flow Test, by reporting the result here and presenting your NHS email or text notification at the entry gates.

Ticket holders from Northern Ireland and International Ticket holders

All other ticket holders (international and those from Northern Ireland) will be required to provide evidence of a negative NHS Lateral Flow Test, by reporting the result here and presenting your NHS email or text notification at the entry gates.

How to upload your NHS Lateral Flow Test

If you are demonstrating your COVID-19 Status using an NHS Lateral Flow Test this should be taken prior to travel on the day of arrival at the festival. You can order NHS Lateral Flow Tests here or pick them up from any pharmacy or test site.

Once you have taken your test, you will need to report your result on the NHS website here. You will receive a text or email notification confirming your negative test result, to present on entry.

A positive result from an NHS Lateral Flow Test means it’s likely you had coronavirus when the test was done. You and anyone you live with must not attend the festival and self-isolate immediately. You are then advised to get a PCR test to confirm your result as soon as possible.

Will I be required to re-test?

If you are using an NHS Lateral Flow Test to demonstrate your COVID Status, this will remain valid for 48 hours from the time you took the test. You will then need to re-test on the expiry of the initial 48 hour period.

If you leave the site during the festival on Saturday and Sunday, when you return you will be required to demonstrate your valid COVID Status. Please ensure that you upload your re-test to the NHS website.

Why Is This Now A Test Event?

“I requested Latitude to become a test event because in the event of a delay after 19th of July it would give Latitude the certainty of going ahead under a step 3 environment, in the same way as the other pilot events that I have run. In addition, even if ‘freedom day’ comes on the 19th, and we get off at the terminus, I’m sure everyone will agree that the additional data that will be given to government from this event will benefit us all in the future” – Melvin Benn

Who Can Attend?

Everyone. No one is disbarred. All anyone will need is a negative lateral flow test or proof of vaccination. However, the Events Research Programme Science Board advises caution for clinically extremely vulnerable people attending the pilot events on public health grounds.

Please note that you need to have received your second dose of the vaccine at least 14 days prior to your first day attending the festival, OR take a lateral flow test.

My Children Haven’t Had Jabs, What Do We Do?

Children who are 11 years old or over will need to show a negative lateral flow test result before entry to the festival. Children under 11 do not need this, or proof of vaccination. Over 18’s can show proof of a negative lateral flow test, or vaccination status.

Is This A COVID Passport?

No. You can show a certificate of vaccination but it’s not mandatory. You can take a lateral flow test instead if you prefer.

What If I Get A Positive Lateral Flow Test?

If you get a positive lateral flow test before you enter the festival you will NOT be able to enter and you will need to follow government advice, including self-isolating. Your ticket will be refunded in this instance. Please contact your ticketing agent and they will be able to arrange this for you.

If you re-test whilst at the festival and your result is positive, please attend a medical area immediately.

What If My Accommodation Is Off Site?

That’s not a problem. Just show your vaccination status at the gate each day or take a lateral flow test every 48 hours. If you take a Lateral flow test, only those with a negative result will be allowed to enter.
