Enchanted Garden

The Enchanted Garden is in the Family Campsite…just moments from the Kids Area, it’s a little more relaxed, with space to spread out, chill-out & have fun, including our lovely Pod-Pad play houses and vintage fairground rides. It offers a full family-friendly programme from 9am till 4pm and is perfect for early risers, offering plenty to do without straying too far from your tent! The Info Caravan at the entrance will post daily schedules for the area.

The Enchanted Garden is open to anyone with children under 16 including Day Ticket Holders; collect a wristband from the Info Caravan at the entrance to the Kids Area.

The Canopy Stage has a full programme daily from 9am-4pm. Featuring drama, song & dance workshops including Bollywood and Breakdancing with the fabulous Joy in Dance, West End songs and choreography with performers from Shine on Stage, live music, kids comedy and performance from kids author and firm Latitude favourite Gareth P. Jones and much more.

It also hosts our weekend family socials to clear the cobwebs and start your festival day with a smile; Crack of Dawn (Saturday) and Bo Nanafana (Sunday) both throw one hum-dinger of a party!

Penny Farthing is a hula hoop and aerial circus performer bringing her sassy silly hoop tricks for all the family to enjoy – come and find out just how awesome you can be with a hoop or two!

The Craft Tent is a calm space for budding artists. Weaving Wonders used soft natural materials to teach the ancient art of basket weaving to make a little basket, a pen pot or anything people fancied. The Heartstitch ladies flower baskets will be full to the brim with fun-sized craft projects, such as hand-stitched hearts and weaved garlands and magic wands.

Donkey sets off for new adventures, making new friends and singing along the way…and what a noise they make! Join Luminous Tales for The Four Friends, a show about how it’s never too late to find your own voice and make new friends. Puppetry, masks and bags of audience interaction make this a fun and rowdy show for everyone.

Author and artist Mary Richards brings her workshops for children curious about the incredible world they live in. Based on her illustrated guided journal, Take Me Outdoors, these events will be full of facts, activities and creative opportunities.

Sam Barnes says that when she was little, the world made sense to her when she drew it on paper. Now an established artist of nearly 30 years, she makes works that sell worldwide and we’re delighted to have her back with us at Latitude. She’ll be encouraging children and families to draw together or alone, with stimulating drawing exercise and ideas to help us all think creatively and express ourselves.
